Just the very TONE of the rhetoric in that company 'newsletter' was enough to turn my stomach. Insulting, facetious, haughty.......and absolute contempt for customers drips out of almost every single article in that rag.
No legitimate company I have ever worked for would allow a publication of that deep level of unprofessionalism to be circulated through any kind of official route.
I cannot even re-read it because of anger, over just the very TENOR of the words.....my emotions around the content are of an entirely different order.
The level of self-centeredness AND contempt from the CEO's even, and snarky sarcasm masking as company policy discussions of future plans.......
Something is rotten in the Heart of CCP.
And judging by the videos and threads and all from Fanfests and such, I would not be surprised at all if there is just way toooooooooooooooooo much partying going on there on the Mid-Atlantic Shaky-Rock.....
Endgame Alcoholism is what I'm talking about here.
It perfectly explains that level of self-centeredness and blatant contempt for customers, the unprofessionalism of that newsletter, the seemingly random decision making and always, always "grabbing for the shiny............."
It's hard to make sensible business decisons during hangovers.
Maybe something beyond alcohol even.
I've seen alcohol and constant partying bring down PLENTY of Tech companies of all sorts way back during the DotBoom here in San Fran. IT HAPPENS.
Like Steven Spielberg says when asked WHY his film 1941 was such a chaotic fiasco with a couple of great moments: "C*c**ne gives you the best ideas and the WORST ideas.....all at the same time".

The "culture" developed at any company/corp will eventually affect it. And if this culture is rooted in DEBAUCHERY in any way shape or form, then professionalism will lack and it will die...taking the rest of us with it.
Thanks for the reply.
And I'm not just shouting something facetiously.
TBH, I'm a 15yr recovering alcoholic myself......and know this tune backwards and forwards.

You may have had a bad start, but at 15 years of age, you are now leaps and bounds past your peers.
Sounds like you have a handle on things. I wish you the best in life.
lol. Thanks for the sentiment. But one mis-reads. I am 46. Recovering 15 years. lol ************

I've been pondering it since I saw footage from Fanfest 2010. This did not start for me this week. ************
